Kate'sby and the conspirators fled and on the 8th of November they died in a hail of bullets charging the soldiers sent to get them. Most people at the time were thoroughly delighted that the institution that represented the common wealth of the realm had not been blown up. So who says good cannot come from evil? Now then I think I should leave you with the image of today's happy English folk gathering around bonfires watching fireworks eating, drinking and chatting while celebrating the survival of their Parliament.
