The first signs you'll see is decrease urine output and increased peak pressures on your vent. A lot of patients will have low urine output for various reasons, but especially on the ab site they'll give you this. The patient's peak airway pressures are going up. And if you start to read that, the answer is abdominal compartment syndrome.
