In the scene pretty early in the film where the people are gathered to see if the UFOs return it's actually different in the two cuts. In the theatrical cut it looks like they're really UFOs and then it could just be military helicopters all along. The helicopter thing made me think I don't know if you you guys have seen mirage men uh oh absolutelyUh kick green christopher green is in that movie. He even said that a lot of the black helicopter phenomena was was part of a sciapt, he says.
