The Evolution of the Saber Tooth Cat

Scientists found four species of saber tooth cat in a collection of fossils near Cape Town South Africa. There is quite a lot we can learn from their bones because those things don't preserve too well over millions of years but we do know a little bit about their lifestyle. Both of these cats lived around 5 million years ago and they were sort of Jaguar sized one was a little bit bigger think of like not quite as big as a lion but let's say beefy Jaguar and one is a bit smaller sort of like a small leopard.
