Sonny: I was very close to a transaction to selling my first company, Data Return. He says Compaq and HP merged instead of closing on the deal; that left him high and dry. Sonny spent four years rebuilding his business before he sold it again in May 2007. "What I thought I was getting and what I got were wildly different," he says.
