The Problem With Relativism
The founders understood that speech can be a vehicle for inflicting injury along with every other medium of our freedom. We don't want to give people the authority to make these hard decisions, to talk about the speech that is legitimate or illegitimate. That kind of stance of relativism has not protected conservatives on the campuses. The problem with pragmatism is that it doesn't work.
