A Woman's History of the Great Depression
In the 19 fifties, American colleges were worried about a new cohort of students. They wanted women to be in charge of classes that these baby boomers would take. So they put out an ad for female faculty members at schools across America. When she was done with her graduate work, Barbara Ehrenreich went on to become one of history's most famous historians.
