The overwhelming majority of perpetrators tend to be fairly psychologically ordinary. In the book, I call the ordinary killers consensus. Most modern scientific research suggests that human beings not particularly innately aggressive. The suggestion that these people are sort of just innately bloodthirsty or psychopathic is very little evidence to support that view.
