The Importance of Disassociation
The movie is slightly critical of the big box store, but then ultimately lands at a place of like, but it's kind of nice in here though. And you know what, if you just shut up and stop having opinions, something good might come from it. She literally says at one point, I forgot to vote and I got a manicure. It really softens any because going in, I was like, maybe this is going to be a critique of capitalism and the way that like these hyper competitive markets. That's how I kind of remember it that way too.
