How to Cut Grass With a Lawn Mower
Budding saw an opportunity to create a device that could consistently and reliably cut grass a specific length. He built a wheeled machine out of wrought and cast iron ad a pair of wheels. It also had a pair of rollers, and a forward roller and a back roller as well as the blade mounted cylinder that did the actual cutting. Butting's design also incorporated a tray to catch grass clippings.
