The Importance of Consequences in Moral Realism
Roxanne Jones: I think we largely agree here. If the rule had bad consequences, it would never suggest itself as a reliable basis for ethics. She says Kant's categorical imperative reliably produced needless human misery that was otherwise avoidable. Jones: Part of the problem with people who are not consequentialist is they want to stick to their rules no matter what.
