How to Make Languages for Fun

Crystal: It seems increasingly common that people will make languages just for fun and never engage with any of the academic side of things. Do you know of any other languages that do that? That's like the first time I've heard of that technique being used. Nice. This is a crystal original. All right, somebody better write a paper about it. Maybe that's a good topic to close on.
