The gift creates social relations right where you give something to someone you may not have an expectation of a return in kind but it creates this circulation in which other gifts will be givenRight I think we could like imagine gifts along those lines too of like giving up on ideas of self-sufficiency as something that was like produces no waste and think about the sort of wasteful ways that we can interact in the world.
