What Is Barcoting?

Bar coting is used mostly to study the development of tissues. It records where a cell came from based on mutations that occurred in the cell divisions that generated that cell. And itd it has like a lot number, because the barcode will tell what other cells in the body are closely relat to that particular cell. In cancer, it's already known that you can tell what a cell's been exposed to. We're trying to adapt that to understand what sorts of things neurons in the brain have been exposed to by smoking or ultra violet light.
