I think minimalism these days often relies on the kind of network of services that we have access to with digital apps and stuff like that, like Uber or Airbnb. So suddenly when those things are less possible, when you really had to make do with what was in your house, minimalism didn't seem so appealing. And I think the great irony that you've pointed to here is that minimalism is now almost a product that we buy, right? It's something we spend money on, like a Marie Kondo or other things,. which is kind of the antithesis in many ways of what it's supposed to be.
