What's Missed in Luke 7?
There are four significant differences between this one and those of Matthew and Mark. The location of the anointing on its body is moved from the head to the feet, which makes it no longer a messianic statement at all. It's actually kind of just sandwiched in this whole section about Jesus and women or children or poor people. And then, lastly, there's no statement about this being a significant gospel moment about the story being told in memory of her.
