The current system works by preventing people from making mistakes being super careful but nobody sees the risk in delaying access to life saving medicine. People are dying of terminal illnesses even with COVID I can give an example right if we had done challenge trials we could have saved potentially hundreds of thousand millions of lives, he says. Millions of people dying is just a statistic and the incentives are set up for regulators they're good people they're trying to help prevent issues and side effects and so on but they don't have an incentive to look at effective as an expected value or anything like that.
