The Difference Between Torque and Tensile
Tension or pretension is measured in pounds. The field often confuses it to and thinks, if I expend this amount of torque, I'll achieve this amount of tension. That doesn't always work that way. AISCRC manual has all the rules on how to do structural bolting.
