The Different Versions of Sceptical Theism

There are different versions of skeptical theism. The most basic version is that God's ways are mysterious, basically. So we shouldn't expect to be able to see all the reasons for which God acts. There are much more sophisticated ways like the range of possible goods, evils, connections between obtaining states of affairs and so on,. But even if there is such a reason or explanation, you shouldn’t expect to being able to see it.
