The Psychology of Conspiracy Theories
Zander: People who believe in conspiracy theories often have a whole worldview that revolves around being suspicious of official narratives. It's very different from some regular individual just being duped by false claim conspiracy theories people who endorse them often endorse multiple at the same time which is why we call it a monological belief system. Zander: There are three psychological motives that are really fulfilling for people and that's I think why they're so psychologically attractive in general. They offer these wonderfully causal explanations for things that aren't really connected but drop really enticing connections between things.
