Biden did well there in 2020. I think what they would probably argue is that, hey, look, it did help us, but hey, we won't nominate as a party candidates like me,. Like Biden, who can win in the general election. And South Carolina did a good job of weeding out folks that can do that and get base Democratic Party support.
