The Importance of Moral Functionalism in Ethics

I think it's simply discovery about the kind of world we live in, that there aren't any moral properties as such. Parfits triviality argument shows that ethical language picks out a property distinct from the properties pick out the descriptive language. We follow Mackey of course and say, being morally good picks out nothing. The task is to give an account which makes sense of how that can be true. And moral functions is that this is a story I like, which answers that question. That's what the book is a little book's all about.
