The Justices' Discussion of the National Standard for True Threats

In Watts, the court does not definitively say that a specific intent standard is required. John Alwood did say that recklessness would be a better, more speech protective standard than what we have now. The justices seemed in their questioning that some of them might be willing to move the standard to recklessness or adopt that standard. I don't think there seemed to be a majority for a purpose standard.
