Imago Day in the Letters of the Bishop of Antioch
The Eucharistic assembly becomes this image of incorruptibility in as far as it reflects the divine realm. This imagery is quite reminiscent of the book of Revelation establishes a link between two distinct realms divine and human or heavenly and earthly. Ignatius interprets these concepts as cotologically and Christologically relating the resurrection of the faithful at the end times to the passion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The concept of Imago day appears in several crucial passages emphasizing views relating to God to humanity and to the church. An anthropological found primarily in first Clement Barnabas and Beignitas and more ecclesiastical reflected in the letters of Ignatius.
