How to Call a Code When Your Patient Is Already in the ICU

Do you call a code if your patient is already in the ICU or do you just run it yourself? I think this usually should be a policy. One thing it does is just get your local staff there. It potentially gets you other resources, especially with off hours to do your chest compressions. A lot of what comes you might not need and you can get them out of there.
