The Paradigm Shift in the History of Jesus Christ
Joseph Smith was one of many people claiming to have an experience with God and Jesus. I remember learning that a lot of the Book of Mormon names were similar to like places he lived by. That was really surprising to me. The polygamy stuff wasn't super alarming because I had heard a lot about polygamy, but discovering the ages of the women that he was sending men on missions and then marrying their wives was alarming as you can imagine.
