The Relationship Between the Master and the Slave

Aristotle's view of slavery is radically different from what we recognize as chattel slavery, right? Right. And so like, remember, and there's a sense of mutual dependency, like that,. Like the master is probably for someone who's not suited physically for certain types of labor, or thought I will say, right? So what do they do? They depend on each other now. Mm hmm. Okay. The master slave relationship is an emergent whole based on the dependency relationship of its parts. Yeah. Do you see that? okay.
