The Out of Touch Debate on the Cost of Living
55% of people said Labor was out of touch, and then even more, 65% said the Liberals were out of touch. The thesis that we've had through Labor winning the Aston by-election is that the cost of living crisis isn't really hitting them yet. So I think there will definitely be people looking to the budget for even more help from the government. And so maybe putting that anger and oxygen into the room as the Libs and Natseem Hill bent on doing actually makes it harder for the government to keep the faith that government is delivering on a number of different issues.
