Corporate Governance and Compliance in Public Companies

I feel like a theme of what I'm hearing is different incentives. And this kind of goes back to me, the core of private equity. But also on the other end of the spectrum, you have a lot of publicly traded companies that I don't think are being run well with incentive problems. It's corporate governance and compliance that rules the day, especially in public companies,. obviously, I understand why.
