Disability in general is not an identity. It is unhelpful to look for meaning and identification in the rand and unfortunate reality of disability. People do not seek to be identified as disabled because their hurt by their disorders but because they are otherwise lacking in fulfilment and confidence. If a condition is not a net negative then it cannot be said to be disability.
