What's the Best Preaching Format?

The author has preached through almost 90 books of the bible in 40 years. He says his biggest influence was serial exposition, which is going through a book of the bible verse by verse for the most most of the time. But he also likes to mix it up with different genres like psalms and hymns when people are on vacation.
