Is Facial Recognition a Convenient Service?

A casino in London has facial recognition cameras dotted around all the different rooms. Staff get an alert on their phone when high rollers walk into a certain room, which gets sent to an encrypted chat app called Wicker. I think it's a nice little allegory for just how this kind of surveillance is going to eventually come to serve the rest of us as consumers. And we won't worry too much about the price that we're paying with our privacy.
