I feel like I have been chosen for this fight to speak up, and I feel honored to take on that role. Because I'm not just representing myself, but also all my religious sisters, my religion itself. Since I was sent off, since seeing everything that's been happening with the hijab in France, I feel so connected with my God because I know that it's the best decision of my life. Every second that goes by, every breath I take, I feel grateful to be a Muslim. When I wake up, I feeling grateful to be alive. I'm grateful to be Salim. I'm Grateful to be here today speaking to you.
