Git History Collapses Every So Many Times

The Sagewell project has 13 entries in the Git blame ignore revs list. This is something I would run into a lot with like when I was working on client work, it's like you could have the whole history of the project but almost always, we just care about what it is right now and how to change it going forward. How far back is useful versus like six years ago? And so if you're spelunking that far back, then it probably doesn't matter.
