I Know the Plans I Have for You, Says the Lord, Plans for a Future of Hope
The promise is just, i know for some people this is their like life verse for scripture. God says to the jewish people in exile: I will bring you back to the place from which i sent you into exile. There are some scripture scholars that say don't start thinking you can apply it to your life. But at the same time, while we acknowledge the context, being exile of the jews in babylon, we also know that our god is our dad,. When we are baptized in jesus, we become in sons and daughters. We need to know the context.
