I suppose what are curly cues? Curlycues are decorative twist and curls. So the mane of the horse is groomed and combed and knotted into little loops and curls, then tinselled with gold, tied and twisted. The fetlocks were finished in the same fashion with bright green ribn braided with beads, as was the tail to its tippety tip. And a long tied thong lacing it tight would be a thin piece of fabric wrapped round the tail at the end.
