The Indeterminacy of the Right to an Attorney
Having an attorney actually makes a difference in your sentencing or in your conviction rates. He ends up citing more evidence that it does make a difference than that it doesn't. But as a whole having this right might be on the whole harmful for poor and black communities even if it is helpful in a particular case for an individual.
