The Microbiome of Enterobacteria-Aceia
Tocamrita: E. coli allows greater colonization of the mucus and epithelial layer of the small intestine with enterobacteria-Aceia. This is a group of organisms that through many, many, many studies are traditionally associated with inflammation in the small intestine. The low protein, low fat diet somehow changes the surrounding microbiome to allow E. coli to colonize the small intestine and the large and the colon at a much higher amount.
