The US and Semiconductor Industry Debate

The US and everybody is dependent on one company to manufacture all the advanced chips, right? TSMC, who is in turn dependent on a handful of European and American companies like ASML. I think the US policy debate gets very, very confused because this is a complicated subject. And there is a big drive now among US politicians to say, Hey, we have semiconductors, we want semiconductor manufacturing here.
