Is the Periodicity of the Financial Cycle Changing?

If you trace the cycle going back in a, wellinto the right back to the early 19 sixties, that frequency seems to have been pretty much intact. So whereas before it was a relatively mild cycle, now it's actually quite a fierce cycle. Now i think the reason for that is that er, what you get is a lot more leverage in the system. And you also get a situation where central banks, if they want to make an impact, have toer, have to expand their operations ar much, in a much greater size. They got to seep into a lot more avenues or cracks, or whatever, to actually get to solve problems and restrain the system.
