The US doesn't have the same clothing industry that it had 25 years ago either. It was put out of business by South and East Asian apparel manufacturers who were able to create, you know, economies of scale and efficiencies. So they offshored. In places like Ghana, where I spend time for second hand, if you talk to the people who are in apparel there, they'll say, we simply cannot compete with the South Asian and East Asian imports coming in. They'll then say, that's why we like the second hand clothes from Europe and North America,. Because it's better quality. And it's at a price point that oftentimes beats this new clothing of lesser quality
