Is There a Safe Harbor for Federal Privacy Laws?
As of right now, there aren't great examples of safe harbors that have been put in place as of yet. So ideally it would be at the federal level just because it makes it easier to be really consistent. You know, most businesses are not just operating in one state. They're operating across state lines. It's just not there yet. Hopefully we see in the coming years some standardization happen here.
