The Realities of Liberalism
A. A. Hellyer: I was to initially write a book on the overlapping ideas of freedom in the liberal and the socialist traditions. And i have always been attracted to er this concept of freedom, which i felt many socialist authors inherited from liberalism. He says he has long tried to make a theoretical argument for why socialism was best seen as a theory of human freedom rather than equality.Hellyer: The larger philosophical theme that animates the book that i ended up writing is this idea of freedom.
