Bob Greene: There's some really weird things in Scripture. How is that the pure Word of God? He says people who are trying to deconstruct their faith or see the Bible, like, how dare they do this? Greene: We take a lot of our cultural assumptions and we sort of anachronistically try to understand the Bible with them. "It's a narrative before it is mere instruction," he says.
