The Importance of Periodization

It's just like planning a holiday. It seems counterintuitive, but giving yourself that little bit of break will enable you to do more. We've said six weeks because we want people to kind of consistently have this kind of ebb and flow across the whole year. The way I do it is I will be gradually building up with my lifts. And at the end of that time, I will retest. That's when I'll do a day like a testing day. Then after the test, then have a week which is a back off. Just go from 60 to 90 minutes in the gym for 30 minutes or less. You're not going to feel too wrecked after it has happened
