The Gates of Hades Will Not Overcome the Church
The word used for when all of Israel would come together at the Bedi-Sebanate Sinai or later at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Jesus is saying that his followers, or what we call the church, are a kind of new Israel and new temple. An Israel that is no longer based on ethnicity, but on allegiance to Jesus as king.
