How to Practice Mindfulness When You Notice Current Thoughts

The first step is noticing the thoughts, observing that you are having the thought, I'll be happy once. And maybe not even necessarily trying to get rid of that thought because we can't control our thoughts. The benefit of doing that is that once you acknowledge how you're actually feeling and you sit with that feeling using mindfulness, then you can start to think about what's going on in your life.
