West: How do I find the number that's going to maximize my compound growth rate with respect to some drawdown constraints and survivability in the short run? So it seems like behavior would be a huge part of that. That number is going to be different for every single investor because your ability to withstand those drawdowns is what determines that to a large degree. West: The whole purpose of the design of my portfolio is to have the three legs of the stool where I think I'm generating long-term positive returns from risk, premier, or trading strategy.
