What Does God Do?

Aaron's sons, nadab and abihu, offer unholy fire before the lord. They somehow overstepped a holiness boundary. And as a result, what does god do? He consumes them on the spot with fire from above. This is an echo of the garden of eden's story. There, god allows adam and eve to abide with god in god's sacred presence. But Adam and Eve's failure to abide by god's command led to punishment.
