Voltaire's Biographies Are Brilliantly Well Written
Voltaire is a kind of, it's difficult to describe him. He's a kind of half tourist, half moralist throughout this who picks up all kinds of ancatera trifles and turns them to all kinds of profit. And particularly amusing, for example, are his biographies. His life of charles the twelfth of sweden, his life of peter the great of russia, areary, brilliantly well written. I mean, as a story teller, as a racomter, he has no equal.
